太原市青年联合会是中共太原市委领导下的以中国共产主义青年团为核心力量的太原市各族各界优秀青年的联合组织，是太原市各族各界青年广泛的爱国统一战线组织。从1950年的第一届委员会到现在的第八届委员会，太原市青年联合会已经走过了56年的光辉历程。

太原市青年联合会由科教文卫、新闻出版、文艺、经济、财贸、工交建等10个界别委员会组成，其主要职能是围绕服务市委、市政府的中心工作，服务青年成长成才，服务社会公益事业，向党政、机关、社会举荐优秀青年人才，通过开展座谈会、帮教送暖、扶贫济困、义诊义闻、慰问演出、专题讲座、论坛等活动，太原市青年联合会的社会影响力不断扩大，凝聚力和战斗力不断增强，已成为太原市各界优秀青年向往的先进青年群众组织和培养优秀青年人才的基地和摇蓝，为推动太原经济发展、促进祖国统一、增进中外青年友谊、维护世界和平作出了积极的贡献。

A Brief Introduction To Taiyuan Youth Federation

With Chinese Communist Youth League at the core, under the leadership of CPC, Taiyuan Youth Federation is an united organization composed of talent young people from all nationalities and all walks of line of Taiyuan city. It also serves as a wide patriotic unity for those talented young people from all nationalities and a Civil Construction as well as three affiliated associations: Taiyuan Youth Entrepreneur Association, Taiyuan Youth Township Entrepreneur Association and Taiyuan Youth Volunteers Association. Centering on the main tasks of city government and city committee of CPC, the main function of TYF is to help promote the growth of youth, prosper the public service, and recommend excellent young talents to CPC, government and society. Through such activities as conversation, teaching aid and comforting the need, free medical service and forums, the influence of TYF in society has been ever increasing, meanwhile, its cohesion and working ability have also been enhanced. Therefore, TYF has become the base and cradle of cultivating excellent Youth and is admired by youth from all walks of line in Taiyuan. TYF has made great contribution to the economic development of Taiyuan, promotion of the national unification, enhancement of the relationship between Chinese and foreign young people and the maintenance of world peace.
